Brother Eric Lorick

 

Brother Eric A. Lorick, Our Brother and his handsome wife of over 37 years, Sister Andrea, have a son Joseph wife Rochelle, a daughter Erica husband Eric Gross along with several wonderful grandchildren. Brother Lorick credits his sister Pam and brother in law Jimmy King with guiding him to the Church of the bible, then being taught the gospel by Minister, Kevin Bethea.

Through him many of his family and friends have been taught and baptized. He was added to the Metropolitan Church of Christ in May of 1991. He was among a core group of brothers and sisters who in 1995 became the church of Christ in East Baltimore. His work’s in the Lords service includes; Elder, Deacon, Christian College Instructor, Marriage Enrichment Facilitator, Song Leader, and Ministry leader.

Our Brother also receive his degree in Bible Ministry from the Northeast Baltimore Bible Institute, with an emphasis on Christian Counseling and is a graduate ” from Sunset International Bible Institute External Studies in 2008. Brother Lorick updates his skills with continuing education studies in Christian Counseling at the Agape Counseling Training Center.

Brother Lorick’s strong Christian core is strength is not always visible. His bright cheerful manner, energetic teaching style and love of singing can belie the true inner convictions and passion of our Brother for his faith. He has a deep heartfelt love and caring for his brothers and sisters and feels his endeavors within the church are the reason God saved him from his past life in the world

There are two leaders in the Bible that our Brother identifies with from the Old Testament comes Joseph. God’s providential care and protection saved him for a Godly purpose. Brother Lorick feels he was saved for a specific purpose and that this second chance was one he did not want to waste. From the New Testament come Paul with his zeal for what he believed was right, but was wrong.

Again our Brother sees himself, knocked down, taught the truth, seeing the light and becoming good soil for God to use. Among his favorite Bible verses is Romans chapter 7:14-20. For more insight into Paul you can turn to the scripture and read God’s inspired word.

He continues to serve at the East Baltimore Church of Christ as Associate Minister.
